#1: Only have an email address:

#2: you have phone number:
- If you have assigned your contact, then you will have a call get or a text on the phone number you have assigned.
- In case you select option “receive a text”, then LinkedIn will send you PIN number on your phone.
- Or else, you can opt “receive a call” option, and you will get a call from LinkedIn on your phone number and will tell you the PIN number.
- As you will get the PIN number, you would need to put that code into the appropriate fields provided on the page.
- Afterward, as you put the PIN number, then you will see the next page and instruct for resetting your password.
Furthermore, you can be asked for additional verification in which they ask you some questions and you have to answer it.
Note: The password reset link you get and PIN you get from LinkedIn are valid only for a limited period of time. As soon as, you sign in using that link, you may add a phone number or additional email ID to make 100% sure of that you can access your account at any time in the future.
